Development of Realistic Digital Avatar for Brand

Brand avatar is a long-term asset requiring careful design: it must be recognizable, match brand book, be technically reproducible across platforms and realistic enough to inspire trust. We traverse path from concept to production-ready system.

Development Stages

Concept and Design (weeks 1–3): Brief session with brand team. Define: gender, age, ethnicity, style, personality archetype. Generate concept variants via Midjourney / SDXL, choose direction, create 2D character sheet.

3D Modeling (weeks 4–7): Two paths depending on required realism:

  • MetaHuman (Unreal Engine) — maximum realism for cinematic applications
  • Character Creator 4 (Reallusion) — optimal balance of quality and flexibility for real-time
  • Daz3D — rapid prototype, good for pre-render

Customization to approved concept: face shape, proportions, skin, hair (Groom system in Unreal).

Voice and Speech (weeks 5–8): Selection or custom TTS voice development. ElevenLabs Voice Design for creating unique voice from description. Cloning from voice actor (minimum 30 minutes of recording). Recording phonemes for diphone synthesis.

Animation System (weeks 8–12):

  • Facial Action Coding System (FACS) — 52 blend shapes for facial expressions
  • Body animation library: idle, speaking gestures, reactions (50–100 base animations)
  • Procedural breathing, eye micro-movements — details giving "life"

Platform Integration (weeks 12–16):

  • Pixel Streaming (Unreal) for web without plugins
  • Embedded WebGL player for landing pages
  • Video export pipeline for advertising materials
  • Mobile version (LOD optimization for iOS/Android)

Brand Guidelines for Avatar

In addition to 3D assets we form Avatar Brand Guide: permissible environments, lighting, camera angles, list of prohibited actions and contexts, logo usage rules next to avatar.
