Video Conferencing Setup in Bitrix24
A five-person team uses Zoom for calls because "Bitrix24 doesn't have proper calls." Meanwhile, the B24 license is already paid for and includes built-in video conferencing—it's simply not configured. In parallel, money is spent on a separate service, and call recordings are stored separately from tasks and CRM.
Built-in Video Calls
Bitrix24 includes a video calling module on all plans. A call can be initiated from chat, from a task card, from a CRM deal. Participants connect from a browser or mobile app—no installation required.
Features:
- Video and audio — HD quality with a stable connection
- Screen sharing — display entire screen or a specific window
- Call recording — saved to B24 Drive, linked to chat
- Chat during call — text messages parallel with video
- External participants — via link, no B24 registration required
Plan Limits
Maximum video conference participants depend on the plan:
| Plan | Max Participants | Recording | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 5 | No | Basic calls |
| Basic | 24 | Yes | Suitable for small teams |
| Standard | 48 | Yes | Main working option |
| Professional | 48 | Yes | All features |
| Enterprise | 100+ | Yes | Large companies |
If participants exceed the limit—others cannot connect. This must be considered when planning.
Conference Rooms
Conference rooms—permanent links for regular meetings. Create a "Sales Department Standup" room, send the link to participants—they connect at the scheduled time without additional steps.
Setup: Chat and Calls → Video Conferences → Create Conference. Specify name, participants, schedule. The conference room link doesn't change—can be added to calendar as a recurring event.
Recording and Storage
Recording is enabled with one button during the call. The file is saved to B24 Drive and linked to the conference chat. All chat participants get access to the recording.
Recordings take up Drive space—account for storage limit by plan. For long conferences (one hour or more), the file can weigh 500 MB or more.
